June 20- No Clever Title For Today

I don't have much to share about today. Everybody is anxious to get off of the ship. We've been docked for a day and a half now. It's like the city is sitting there staring at us, inviting us in, but we're forced to just sit here and stare back. Torture!

Unfortunately, I have my first paper due the day after we leave Lisbon. Hopefully I won't have to sacrifice any of my time in the city in order to finish it. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy assignment. Just a three page paper double-spaced on the relationship between Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

Because I don't have anything else to say, I thought I'd post some pictures of our cabin to show you all where I've been living.

My bed

Nothing spectacular, but it is cozy. Courtney and I remain on good terms, and I really enjoy her company. Just livin' the dream on the the MV Explorer.

Tonight we also had a pre-port meeting. It was a mandatory meeting we had to go to to get information about Lisbon. There was informational stuff about unique facts about Lisbon, where to go, what to see (similar to what we heard the night before from Chunko), but it was also about safety stuff and emergency contact info. We even had a local Portuguese man come and teach us a couple of phrases in Portuguese.

I can't wait to get into the city tomorrow. Wish me luck!
